More good news (and some lesser good)

Awesome! Thanks to a website I was finally able to unlock my full registry of Vista, finally allowing me to install Vista SP1! I think my system has improved speedwise, but I cannot be sure yet until I've booted it fully a couple of times. Cleaner found some 300 extra invalid entries and tomorrow I'll JKDefrag my disk. That tool is highly recommended by yours truly, as it is a much more intense and more reliable way of defragging than the regular defrag. This tool actually optimizes files by placing them on specific locations of your disk, thus saving disk access time. In layman's terms: makes everything (slightly) faster.

As for the lesser good news: I did my first security round today, on the three labs. I've come to the conclusion that there are two minor safety risks and one potentially larger one. The colleagues think I'm making a fuzz over nothing though, and are making fun of me (also of the beeper I got because I'm BHV now - I have to have that on me all the time when I'm there), something which (thanks to my 'happy' past) still does not sit well with me. My chef was a lot more happy with my round and has asked me to do one every two months. He told me he'll look into the 'risks'. All in all I'm quite happy with how safe our labs actually are.

And now I'm off to bed. 'Early', as per usual. I was supposed to be sleeping for an hour already... XD
