The safety issues I brought up yesterday have all been taken care of, and Albert, as if sensing my mood (or maybe reading that last open entry, Iunno), told me I did a good job. Whatever the reason, it did cheer me up substantially. He's a good person.
But at home, my next bad surprise was already waiting for me. Mom already booked up my weekend, which I have reserved for Alex. Setting that aside, a colleague told me it was time for a new shirt, and who am I to deny that?
So I had my mind made up. My new unmarked cel (which is probably an A-3) got my preference, and I set it up for a beautiful picture. Perfect color sensitivity, no shake due to a new tripod I bought for this... It was wonderful. After some experimentation I straightened it out perfectly, de-skewed it, and after much more experimentation I turned it into a wonderful picture, well suited for a shirt. I first decide to print a quarter pic on photo paper, just to enjoy it.
I did not. The picture was all but perfect. Her face was blue, her hair, too, her clothes were a very twisted pink and purple... Fucked up... I put a blank paper in the printer and printed a standard printer scheme to test my cartridge, which was just replaced, because the last one had finally had it. The cyan mixed with the yellow somehow. Yellow is, by far, the most contaminable color of the three. Odds are that if somehow that gets into your printer head, you'll never, ever print perfect yellow again. Might not sound that bad, but if you realize yellow is the second-most used color of the three, it already becomes a lot more horrible.
So, for the fourth time in a row (and very likely the last time, ever) I'll head to the printer shop tomorrow. They'd better fix this mess, because I want to print shirts. And soon.
