Mar. 19th, 2012 08:39 amI'm afraid the reason why I felt so disconnected may very well be related to something that happened this morning:
As I was making my way to the trains this morning, I felt myself getting really warm, to the point of actually sweating when I entered the train. Now, winter's passed, so I'm not actively wearing my sweater anymore, so I took my coat of and had a reasonably comfortable ride to my destination. I figured it may very well be 15 degrees, the sun is shining - it's a perfect day to walk to work in my shirt. Now I have to admit, when I exited the train, I got some weird looks, but I haven't shaved in over a week and this beard is looking like a homeless one, so what the hell... About halfway through my walk there's this garden, and the grass there had hoarfrost on it. I figured, what the hell, must've warmed up real quick here. Sun does that. At this point I breathe out through my mouth and realize I could see my breath. That did not make sense to me as, admittedly it was a little colder than I thought, but most certainly above 5 degrees! Turns out I was wrong. It was 2 degrees outside! That ain't right!
I sure hope I'm not going numb again. That would suck so much... ._.
Also, I lost another auction. Missed out on a sister cell of one I already own, with matching background. Times like these make me regret I don't have my higher financial reserves anymore.
