lemau: Smiling Shampoo ^^ (Smile)
I just tried that program they're advertising for on the front page, to turn your LJ into a book. They program is made of epic fail. Not only is it bulky and extremely user-unfriendly, sluggish and only one usable lay-out, lest you adjust the lay-out page by page, but it also only takes the first year of my entries, which would not be so bad (apparently the first year is already 420 pages, which is 20 pages over limit, but more importantly stresses the importance of global lay-outs, as I refuse to change the lay-out 420 times!), if I could only SELECT which year I wanted to print. But apparently any year after 2005 is not important enough for a bookwork. 2005 is not exactly publish-worthy either, I know, and with this program, it will never happen anyway. Humanity's saved of one more atrocity by complete lack of user-friendliness and thus, useless bits.

Speaking of useless bits, anyone looking forward to Google Wave? Didn't think so. "This program combines blogging, photo posting and mailing and whatnot." Well guess what? I already have a program for it. It's called Windows. I don't need an extra intermediate to combine bullshit. Also, the whole comment that a mail uses up space is totally negligable as well, since an average mail takes up about 2000 bytes of space on a friggin' 120 gigabyte drive! My photo's are already stored online, and my blog needs to stay far, far away from it, thank you very much. What's more, I don't even want my mailing buddies on my LJ. I'm fine the other way around, but not that.

So, Blurb: If you want me to use your program, make it run smooth on a Dual Core 2GHz, 2GB PC with a VERY decent graphics card, and for the love of Shampoo, show me how to globally change the lay-out. Also printing my entire blog might be nice. Even if I have to scatter it over multiple books. The idea still intrigues me.

And Google: Stick with what you're good at and stop producing useless programs, kthx.

For the record: 2005 contained 6 Shampoo anime pictures, a couple of pics of my first vinyl kit and a constantly updated Gaia avatar (hotlinked). Imagine my surprise when I found a Gaia-tan in an entry from 2005. O_o

And yes. I have a Gaia-Tan. ^_^
