What a weekend XD
Jun. 12th, 2006 08:53 amAfter 'everything' that happened thursday, though I made more standards than I expected, I decided to take friday off to take care of some business that I had postponed for long enough, besides, I couldn't take another working day, even though I only had three.
I forgot the most important thing though, and the other two things were easily done. For the forgotten thing, taking care of insurance stuff, it would've been handy to call during weekdays, when the people who actually know what they're yapping about are at the phones. Still, it was nice taking the friday off, but I don't know what Marc thought of it exactly. I think I should ask him. He didn't look at all too happy when I told him. I spent a lot of time playing MapleStory.
Saturday I slept in very much. slept from 12 to 11, which is something I haven't done in a while. Ate, and pretty much directly after that went to Melle's. Twas his birthday. It was a way awesome party which kinda left me wondering why the fuck I never made a party for classmates and friends. Probably because I never had that many awesome classmates. I swear, that class of his is awesome. This time I think I'm the one who did the most damage to myself though, in a way more limited way than last year. XD
Sunday was, by lack of better wording, odd. First, I had to fix a computer I started to patch up last week. It wouldn't shut down, I was told. So we go over there, I turn on the monster (They use Windows 98), I execute a few small programs to simulate usage, click start, shut down and notice that shutdown was still set to "Restart to MS-DOS". Gawd, that was silly. I updated their windows and we were off.
Next was the paraview fair. I've never seen that many silly people together. I had my aura photographed. XD It was pretty red going towards a very nice shade of green in the bottom left. The bullshit story I got with it wasn't worth mentioning again though. Let's just say my sceptisism of the whole hasn't decreased. Scary thing WAS, however, the green thing was close to my right hand, where I held a pouch with my birthstone in it. It wasn't the birthstone that made me buy it, but the pouch was a very nice color blue. : D
It's amusing, the bullshit you get at those fairs sometimes. First of all, all the hangers... Crosses, pentagrams and witch's circles. All the same thing. Still, so many different styles in one rack. Then is the rocks. Amethysts, Lapises (Beautiful rocks, they are), sapphires, etcetera. Funny thing is that these rocks stimulate different things per booth. So this one lady came up to one of the salesmen: "I heard from that guy that Lapis Lazuli is good against rheumatoid arthritis, but here it says something completely different", and the guy responds "yes, but that is what they say, we believe it helps against other things, and the next booth will tell you yet something else. It differs per salesperson." At which point I had to turn away to snort. It was amusing.
I might (MIGHT) get another aura-shot done next fair, then again, my sane half (eighth) might just prevent me from going again.
I slept like shit last night though, went to bed reasonably in time, woke up at 12, 4, 5 and 6, and finally at 6:25 once more. All in all I think I slept about 5.5 hours out of the available 8. That sucked very much.
I'm drowsy today. : D
