Shampoo figurine, progress V
Aug. 7th, 2005 01:25 amOh crap...
Well I just messed up quite a bit, also there'll be no picture as the camera hasn't been put back yet.
OK, first of all, the hair. It's a bitch. They don't even REMOTELY fit together so I had to fit it by hand. Furthermore the ends and mid-parts both look the same, so there's no telling which one's which. I think I still did an ok job, regardless of the fact that this really is a B-quality model... Of an A-quality anime character still, of course.
Second, I tried evening out the glue spots (the parts where there's a slight displacement because two parts were glued together) with some more glue, hoping it would harden out like polyester, 'cept I wouldn't have to sand. The glue dripped out and went all over her dress, so I'm still gonna have to sand that.
Naturally, to fit the hairpieces together, I glued the head to the body. Looks good, but that's gonna make sanding the dress hard! Told you I liked a challenge XP
The eyes don't look right... I need to match it with a piccie. Tomorrow.
I had the model together for a while today. Hell! She looks awesome, but I'm gonna have to need to make a slightly elevated foorpiece myself... Bah! XD
Oh, and I removed the excess yellow from the hairties... It looks so cool now.
TTDT:
- Sanding the glue accident
- Polyestering the hairpieces and sand em, paint em.
- Sanding some parts of the body that need re-painting. The body color was by far the hardest to put on correctly. (I'll have to use P800 Sandpaper, 's gonna take me ages) XD
- Glueing it together?
- Making a foot?
So close, yet so far away XP
