Islam vs other religions

People who read me a lot will know that I disdain all religions equally. While they have the redeeming quality of helping some poor souls back on their feet, and by all means kudos for that, the good they do is overshadowed by the evil that is caused by them. Right now we are so focused on Islamic religion that we are completely forgetting the boy-grabbing priests and money-whoring Jewish and pretty much every other religion that has their own thing. But the one thing that gets to me the most is that every religion preaches tolerance and friendship and love thy neighbor and whatnot, but every other religion, atheism included, is generally wrong and deserve to die.

The big picture is that every big religion has had their crusades and dragging people into the streets and murdering them. It's human nature to kill others to prolong your own genes in a world that is overpopulating rapidly. But that doesn't give you the right to do it. A bible or quran or any book of fairytales does not give you specific rights over someone who reads another book or has a different lifestyle. We are all bound to the same basic human rights and laws. The same human rights and laws that you claim whenever you're feeling threatened. And please, do not confuse that with insulted. An insult is something you can (and usually SHOULD) dismiss. An insult is more often than not a joke gone horribly wrong. But the more you make a fuss about it, the more you will get people's attention. And people love nothing more than inciting, so they'll just keep picking on you. The best and smartest thing to do is just walk away, or at most, make a mention to someone in charge that this or that offended you.

And this is not only applicable to Islam. Recently a lot of religions staked their claim. The Dutch bible belt is more lit up than ever, and everyone is so ready to start some sort of 'holy war'. It's pathetic. And the worst part is that everyone who is religious and friended to this journal does not fit in to the group I just described. Therefore, I apologize to this specific group if they were offended. All the rest of you can suck a doorknob.

I am SO done with religion.
