In the end I ended up getting the Collector's edition from a different store. I still prefer to have the DVD's, rather than some digital copy, because I'm old-school like that. Unfortunately I also triggered my recently reactivated Trekkie-heart, and found a 'discounted' Star Trek TNG boxset. The two purchases, along with my new DVD-ROM Player set me back a bit, financially. I'll be fine, but it still wasn't the wisest move evar. That aside, I'll be enjoying a couple of TNG episodes next week. The DVD-ROM Player is much faster, but still has the same trouble playing the last VOY episode on a DVD. I am unsure where to look next. Maybe the SATA data cable... It is broken, big time, but I can't see why it would have trouble with a specific part of the DVD. Still, that's the only thing that makes sense right now.
I had an epic case of heart-burn yesterday, and it still hasn't settled down yet. I ate this massive calorie bomb for dinner yesterday, and may have used some ingredients that were of shady dates. Needless to say, my stomach wasn't, or rather, isn't being very agreeable right now.
