Complaints
Feb. 7th, 2012 10:04 am1. What the hell happened to January? Month went past like whoa. Actually, I don't mind. Good things come to me in March and in the summer, so meh. But it all went so fast, still. X_x
2. I need more spare time. Right now, about 120% of it is going into ST:Online. I need some for Audition Online and Jagged Alliance Back In Action pretty soon (est. 13-02).
3. Why is it so damn cold all of a sudden? Seriously, this leads to a multitude of problems:
a. It was -17°C this morning. My eyes are not shielded enough for these temperatures. My vision has still not fully recovered.
b. Room's cold as hell frozen over when I get home. Heater takes for-damn-ever to warm the place.
c. Apartment's not advancing in this weather. Can't say I blame them.
d. Misc. physical afflictions, not limited to illness, infections (UTI) and bone breakery (ice is slippery). I'm mostly worried about the prior two. I've never actually slipped and fallen before.
4. The fact that my current shoes are completely unprotected properly on the sole-side, doesn't help either. My feet are still completely cold.
All things considered, these are nearly all first-world problems. As such (and with said realization), I'm actually feeling pretty good. Besides, all complaints come with their own perks:
1. January sucked. I'm glad it passed. With ACTA upcoming, I think I'll be pretty happy if I make it past February as well.
2. Putting all this time in STO is fun. I'm actually glad I'm single right now, as this would definitely ruin my relationship. Besides, one of the other upsides of STO is the persistence of the STO-universe: Not only do side-quests advance over time, but travel from system to system actually takes time, which I can use to either put my duty officers on new side-quests, or do little housework, such as dishes. I have to admit, they're not piling up like last two weeks, when I was playing Audition non-stop. Quite the contrary, akshually.
3. Windows are closed and remain closed. The people in the house are quiet as a mouse and the cold makes me appreciate my new purple satin bedsheets all the more. So far I have not been struck by an actual UTI (Traces have been found, but nothing to worry about). While the apartment is not progressing, I now have a tick-off sheet where I still strike out the days until August 1st. Whether or not the apartment will actually be completed by that time, I do not know.
4. I am so looking forward to my new shoes. They've been given a place on the aforementioned tick-off sheet: 24 days to go. ^_^
