I just can't figure it out, but sometimes I really get the idea I AM in control of my own fate. Minor example of yesterday: I turned on my MP3 player on the way back from work, and I'd had the Lucky Star theme in the back of my head all day. Second song to play (the first one was the one I turned it off on)... wham! The song hadn't been on in over a week. Silly randomizer.
Anyway, today was my aunt's birthday, it's been the first time in three years, because every time I forget to write it down. This time I made, like, 3 memo's so I wouldn't forget. It worked. With some funny side-effects. See, three years means she had only seen me last with my glasses on. This isn't entirely true, since she and I were both at dad's last birthday, but the funny part was that my niece, whom I hadn't seen since she had her kid (also my own stupid mistake), didn't recognise me either.
So there she was, standing in the doorway, looking at me like... well... like she didn't know me, obviously. I walk up to her, casually, saying "hey, what's up?" and she's like... "do I know you?" Didn't take her that long though. XD
But it was awesome, it was. I finally got to see my niece-once-removed(or something? I don't really know, I wouldn't even know in Dutch XD), and I also heard my aunt made a T-shirt for me. She has a computer-guided sewing machine which can make all sorts of awesome prints, and apparently she had made one for me. She sent it, but it never got here. So basically, she thought that since I hadn't contacted her in any way in a long time, I just neglected to say thanks (quick note: considering the type of gift, I would never forget to thank someone for that, quick note #2: I don't really have to say what motif was on the shirt, right?).
Here's the kicker: It's probably gotten lost in the mail. I have another funny story on that, but I have to refrain from telling it right now. Point being: We can't trust our own postal workers anymore, especially when it comes down to Shampoo fanitems.
Friday off, Mau happy. But, no rest, I need to clean up my room. I've been neglecting that more than anything and my desk is now an extension of the part that my monitor sits on. XD
