Minor, minor update
Aug. 7th, 2006 08:36 amWell, here I thought I'd be tired today, but apparently, I caught up on sleep finally. Still a bit groggy from the 7 hours I had tonight. The neighbours were quiet all the way, for which I am grateful. The cat though...
I have my doubts about the cat's well being. She coughed and sneezed a lot last night and the night before. I covered her up last night and she seemed to find that pleasant. She's always very nice to me. I just don't know... Is the cancer finally getting to her? Does she have long to live? I wish she did, but I don't know. Fuck! Why couldn't it just have stayed out when it was removed the first time? She suffered enough from the anesthetic alone.
I spent a lot of money this weekend, well, relatively, seeing as I usually do not spend more than 100 a month on random stuff, mostly being Shampoo fanitems and everything. This month, over twice the amount, no Shampoo in it. I still have the statue to work on, and I am not making much progress there. I bought new shoes, ear-buds and a lot of DVDs. I don't know which ones anymore, well, not all of em anyway, so I'll brag about them later, when I get them.
The ear-buds are wonderful. While the standard ones were low frequency spectrum, decent impedance, and (surprisingly) not combined with the neck-strap, these new Philips buds have a frequency reach that makes my MP3Player cry in shame, a surprisingly low impedance, due to the shortness of the wire, which itself has been embedded in the neck-strap, so I can leave it to hang when I'm not wearing it.
I just discovered somthing about the shoes. The ones I bought now are Ecco's again, simply because Ecco is a brilliant brand which makes very sturdy shoes. The soles used to be their weak point, though I never noticed. Ever since I walked through a few puddles with my old ones, they squeeked when I walked through the hallways here. These soles are made from a very light and sturdy material, perhaps some severely vulcanised rubber, but I doubt it's anything that natural. These soles already squeek without me having to walk through a puddle first! XD
Hooboy, today's gonna be busy, but I'm not gonna do much practical work. I need to improve and update my intern report for school and catch up on latest technologies considering the PAH-derivate discoveries. Next fetch my results from last weeks injections...
But first a nice cup of ultrastrong tea and GeenStijl. : D
Ehehe, LJ-Spellcheck corrects GeenStijl as Genocidal... XD
